I remember The Nation naming the Murang'a man as Minister of the Decade some years back.

He didn't care to be popular and just did his damn job well. Once even showed up with torn socks because, unlike the likes of Murkomeno, he knew public service isn't a beauty pageant.

Continue resting in peace, son of the soil.
