Keep the next 30% living paycheck to paycheck.

The top one percent, who are largely the political class, will reign with impunity because majority of kenyans are too busy to ask questions. They post photos of flashy cars or bags of cash on social media to flaunt their wealth.

That is why after Kibaki 's economic reforms, the Moi KANU proteges Uhuruto immediately embarked on dismantling the economic gains to revert Kenya to the status quo of former African colonies where the leaders live like kings and the rest like paupers.

When it comes to elections, make useless promises like the price of unga



This playbook was also followed in the Phillipines and many other countries around the world.

This is the discourse I hope we have at length as a nation and fix it. There's nothing as bad as systemic poverty. It reduces the dignity of humans, limits opportunities for those that deserve it, and keeps many in a cycle they might never get out of.

It should start with discourse, but end with real action on the ballot
