SUBJECT : Assault of a senior police officer.
Reference is made to Lomut police station ob 7/5/3 2022 .
It occurred today at about 1520hrs inside the office of the OCS when C.I.Julius Motanya had summoned Cpl.John Moilem to ask him as to why he did not report to guard examination container on 4/3/2022.
Action had been taken against the officer vide ob 10/4/3/2022 for the charge of leaving place of duty without being regularly relieved.
During the questioning , the officer (cpl.John Moilem) stood up and proceeded to slap the ocs on the face before other officers who were within the proximity moved and restrained him .
Administratively the defaulter has been moved from Lomut police station to Marich police station immediately and an inquiry file to be opened within the shortest time possible for appropriate action to be taken.
Also the officer has been relieved of container guard duties .
