Controversial Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has come out go claim that Deputy President William Ruto called him on phone on Tuesday this week after the much talked about punchline interview.
On his Twitter account on Friday Ngunyi said that during the call he told Ruto that he was the one who called Uasin Gishu county woman representative to the interview.
He disclosed that he even went ahead to ask Ruto if it was okay for him to call Murkomen for the same interview this coming week.
Ngunyi slammed fired state house director of digital innovation and diaspora communication Dennis Itumbi for claiming that he(Ngunyi )scripted the entire punchline show which strongly castigated DP Ruto.
He said that Itumhi should have just called the DP instead of speculating things.
He went ahead to ask Itumbi to organize so that Murkomen can be in the interview next Sunday.
"My Fren @OleItumbi , "DP Ruto" called me on Tuesday. And I told him that I invited TABITHA SHOLLEI to the K24 show. You should have JUST asked him instead of SPECULATING. I also asked if I can invite MURKOMEN for this Sunday. Can you ORGANIZE, please! Not responding!" read his post.
Early this week Itumbi turned guns on K24 stating that it should be objective and not appear to support one side in a political contest.
He said Ann Kiguta's voice was used to voice the station's opinion on a political contest.
"On Sunday, 19th April 2020, Political Analyst Mutahi Ngunyi, scripted an entire show for your Station and declared that DP William Ruto will NOT be President. He did not stop there he said President Uhuru is the Biblical Saul and DP Ruto David. This bit was very interesting. We all know despite Saul's intention to kill David. David the Shepherd beat Goliath and eventually became King," he said.
"Ann Kiguta of Punchline was used to voice a K24 opinion on a political contest authored by a man who is not a reporter, Editor or declared employee of the station. I will, therefore, assume he is the Media Owner because he even went ahead to invite the guests who were interviewed for the show," he added.
