Africa has lots of spaces where Africans can venture and use their knowledge and experience to boost productivity. Ken the farmer has ventured into the Gambia to grow tomatoes. Tomatoes are a premium culinary item in West Africa, with the region being a net importer of tomatoes from Europe and China. Think how crazy it would be for Kenya to be importing tomatoes. The same script replays across Africa. Ghana produces less milk than Kiambu county, meaning the country has lots of potential for dairy farmers. Young people could venture in other spaces in Africa and employ the skills and knowledge they already possess. This is what Indians, despite being poor and with low education, have been doing to Africa for decades.
