PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti (AP) — Foreigners with guns are met with hostility in most countries in the world.
But the departure of armed soldiers and police from Haiti in 2017 after nearly two decades on the streets helped criminals seize control of much of the country. Gangs have carried out so much robbery, rape and kidnapping that Haitians on Tuesday welcomed news that the United Nations Security Council had approved deployment of an international armed force to Haiti.
News of the vote — which authorized a one-year deployment of a Kenya-led force to help quell violent gangs — dominated conversations and radio and TV programs.
“It’s like God heard Haiti’s prayers, and he’s sending help,” said Wensley Johnson, 40.

I am african and kenyan, and I think black americans are hopeless, because their culture is very broken. I'm I racist?

Maybe ask a black American, but if you find the uneducated inner city types especially, and they know you are from Africa (by your accent), they'll treat similar as racist mzungu.

I haven't even touched on Kenyan waiters in Kenya that give preferential treatment to wazungu in local establishments

Doesn't negate the fact that the MAGA crowd is mostly made up of ignorant, loathful and definitely racist buffoons.

America is broken and the two divides, both the woke and the MAGAs have issues that run deep, are systemic and no political figure eg Trump and Obama can mend the great divide, despite their popularity.

Yes, there are racists types in both camps.

But I have trawled the MAGA hinterlands and they mostly seem impressed by independent thinking black figures like Ben Carson and Thomas Sowell, not the ones always crying victimhood and racism.

For many of them, its reaction to being forced to feel guilty because of their skin colour. That's why I believe liberals are harming, not helping, blacks

You are correct and the other side is correct in its assertions. You might be wrong and so is the other side. It's a war of ideologies that can never be ironed out even through intellectual means.

While in the US, I related best with left-leaning peeps but perhaps because I was there to get an education and again, subjectively, right wingers can be quite ignorant but that is perhaps of them being closeted America centrists. On the flips ice, the woke brigade takes liberty beyond what is sensible and they can be plain weird.

I could go on and in but as I've grown up, I've learnt to appreciate that differences will always be there between people and this isn't unique just to Murica. Therefore, I try to no longer take a sides since as a Kenyan, we have enough issues of our own.. So, not my circus, not my monkeys.
