Folk wisdom: Kanua weriire

Mwalimu-G

Elder Lister
Kanua weriire roughly translates into the mouth that ate itself...

It refers to fellows who get carried away in their pitch (a dangerous thing in this age of recording devices in every hand) that they say words that come to bite them later.
It can take one from the comfortable position of the agenda setter to the very uncomfortable position of a firefighter, having to explain positions and dish out assurances instead of advancing one's agenda.
