EACC raids Anne Waiguru’s houses in Nairobi, Kirinyaga

EACC detectives raid the homes and offices of Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru in Nairobi and Kirinyaga over graft allegations.

Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru was grilled for over eight hours at the EACC offices on Wednesday, July 22.

She was questioned by the government watchdog over claims by the County Assembly that she siphoned over KSh 6 million in illegal allowances.

The raid came just two months after the governor survived an impeachment against her the Senate.
