Three police officers were on Wednesday night arrested while extorting money from members of the public within Kariobangi roundabout, Nairobi County. A report was made to the police that the three were harassing members of the public and a team of officers was dispatched to the area. Chief Inspector David Oleshani of Starehe Sub-County then mobilised officers from Kariobangi and Huruma police stations. They managed to arrest Constable Moses Basweti of Vigilance House, Administration Police (AP) Constable Francis Ouma of Mathare camp and AP Constable Martin Mindelo. Among the victims was a man who had come from Rongai and was arrested for not wearing a face mask. The officers were escorted to Huruma police station where they are being detained.
