Comrades "cheated"

Mwalimu-G

Elder Lister

As Good morning, Sir.
Please hide my identity for security reasons.

I am a student Leader at one of the Public University in Kenya. Yesterday, we had a Dinner meeting at Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE).
We initially had been told the venue would be safaripark hotel. The chief guest was Ndindi Nyoro chair budget committee and MP for Kiharu.
Initially, during the planning session, Ndindi had told us to utilize our resources, and when he came, he would sort the bills and facilitate us student leaders and refund all our expenses.
Imagine he came, gave his talk, and sneaked out without honoring the promise, leaving us stranded. You can imagine most of our students' leaders sought refuge at KISE because we didn't have a place to sleep, having used all our resources to plan for that meeting. .
Actually, the Principal of the School Mr. Norman Kiogora didn't want us to spend there despite being paid to allow a political function there.
Some of the student leaders engaged in fist fights because they thought the committee had been sorted and were refusing to facilitate other leaders.
This is not fair, and I would want you to let Ndindi Nyoro know that if he doesn't have money to facilitate this kind of meeting, he should not promise anything. We feel embarrassed and cheated.

It's unfair to converge over 250 student leaders and leave them in war. Let it get to Nyoro and let him sort his mess. (As reported to Nyakundi...)
