Sleuths from Nyeri county are investigating the mysterious death of a 75-year-old Deutsche citizen whose lifeless body was found hanging inside his house in the Muhasibu estate along the Gamerock area.
Weise Klaus Armin and his wife Rosemary Wangui, 38, are said to have engaged in a heated argument over infidelity.
Klaus is said to have accused Wangui of cheating in their marriage and threatened to kill her using a kitchen knife.
Wangui defending herself over the infidelity accusation, said that she had visited her ailing mother but returned home and met Mr.Klaus who was furious, He immediately started hauling insults at her refusing to completely listen to her.
Klaus then locked himself inside their Master bedroom. Fearing for her life, Wangui called the police informing them of the threats.
When they visited their homestead, they plead with Mr. Klaus to open his bedroom but were met with cold responses.
The police then broke the door of the bedroom only to find his lifeless body hanging from a rope on their master bedroom door frame.
Experts from the Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau in collaboration with Scenes of crime detectives are investigating to unravel whether Klaus was murdered or committed suicide.
A postmortem exercise is expected to be conducted when his relatives arrive from Germany.
This is the third Dutch man to be found dead in Kenyan soil under mysterious circumstances.
