I think not that way. I think lack of affordability is the biggest impediment.

I think a lot of Kenyans travel within the country. We pay way much less in game parks and even hotels have resident and non-resident rates.

Most of us Kenyans can't afford basic needs....we are really struggling to make the ends meet. For most tourism is a luxury

Those who can afford still find roadblocks set up against them, like the blatant racism at coast establishments and high end restaurants, the funny per person sharing thing which makes Kenyans run to AirBnBs instead. Some hotels even closed doors rather than revise who they are targeting.

To me, Airbnbs are massively more convenient than hotels. I'd rather save that money on luxury hotels and instead tip the locals to get an authentic experience.
