Guess what? One can still only renew on an annual basis. Funny thing, that ka-slip has never been stamped by NTSA and I've only had to show it to a traffic cop once.

Ata sija subscribe. I only do ile ya TIMS when I need their services. Hii nchi watu wanakulia sana. Insurance pia nowadays lazima wewe mwenyewe ujifanyie printing and figure out how to stick it on the windscreen.
Hii insurance at the moment sijui tunalipia nini. 4 years ago, I got the smart DL valid for 3 years but apparently sahii haziko.

hiyo smart dl nilisema ndachukua siku it will be the only option. I did 650 *3 ,then realized hiyo ya 3k with 3 years expiry is a rip off.
a smart dl should have been given 5 years plus if government must make money from such renewals.

I'd gladly pay the convenience fee to keep the online systems running and get instant service rather than waste whole days queuing. This was one major achievement of Uhuru having several such services go online. It seems you never experienced how broken things were before that
