    Kunguru Kapata Kichapo

I'd hope to have raised her to value herself. This girl didn't wake up one day and decide to do this. The parents missed a lot of red lights along the way. But for whatever reason (as an adult) if my daughter decided to, it would still be her choice. I wouldn't approve but I'd still love her.

    Kunguru Kapata Kichapo

Such a beating should never happen to a fellow human being never mind your own flesh and blood. Its just appalling that a family can turn on its own like that. She obviously doesn't feel loved and valued so it is no surprise that she would end up doing what she did.

Is her audience guilty of anything? Oh wait, they belong to the gender that dishes out the floggings and uphold the 'moral' standards.

I can't believe what I have just watched. Barbaric and criminal doesn't begin to describe. This is torture not discipline. Perverts the lot of them. She looks like a grown woman. Her body her choice! Ghrrrrrr! 😡😡😡

    Substandard Parenting?

Are you in the UK? True, there is the childcare tax credits subsisdy. It was a conscious choice for my family for me to stay home. I didn't see the point of working and paying someone to look after the kid. I appreciate not everyone has the same luxury or is willing to make the same sacrifice.

    Substandard Parenting?

You are right. I saw no point in working for the first 5 years. I made the most of my lengthy maternity leave by breastfeeding until nearly 4.

I think you hate religion for some reason. That's your choice and it's fine and I wouldn't attack you for it. I was just objecting to a personal attack on an individual based on their beliefs.

In this case then the individual that allows their thinking to be curtailed is to blame. Nobody is forced to do anything. In fact it is enshrined in the constitution. Freedom of worship.

    Galileo Galilei

It is the responsibility of the government to provide the above. Not the churches. The fact that the church has to step in is a failure of government. So you directing your anger to an individual just on the basis of his beliefs is unfair. I'd argue that sometimes religion actually gives hope...

I don't agree with the personal attacks. Religion is a choice. If you don't agree with someone's choice you can still keep the respect and civility. My two cents...
