Hii ni shida ya clans (mbarī) inbreeding. Try buying land there or some other parts of Kiambu with dominant clans alafu uone. Hii ujinga ya forbidding kids and grand kids from divesting from land should stop. It does not help them or the community. Why should I have 2 acres of idle land while my kids can't go to school?

Painful lessons have been learned from the past. If such caveats did not exist, you would not be around to worry about kids not going to school i.e. you would not have to make any choices on any 2 acres of land because those before you would have liquidated it ages ago.
